President Donald Trump on Low Oscar Rankings: “We Don’t Have Stars Anymore”

President Donald Trump blamed Sunday’s low Oscar scores on an absence of star power.

“Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY,” the leader in primary tweeted on Tuesday. “Problem is, we don’t have stars anymore—except your president (just kidding, of course)!”

It’s real that Oscar viewership struck an all-time low on Sunday. Inning accordance with the Los Angeles Times, 26.5 million audiences tuned into the 90 th Academy Awards– an almost 20% drop compared with in 2015.
