Royal Wedding is a 1951 musical comedy film starring Fred Astaire and Jane Powell. Set against the backdrop of the royal wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten in 1947, the film follows the story of Tom and Ellen Bowen, a brother-and-sister dance duo from New York City, as they travel to London to perform in celebration of the royal event.
Tom (Fred Astaire) and Ellen (Jane Powell) are invited to London for a series of performances. As they arrive in England, both siblings find themselves unexpectedly swept up in the excitement of romance.
